Trickle Filter

Definition

A series of perferated trays placed one above the other that provide water filtration. Each tray contains filter media that must be passed through before reaching the next tray; Dirty water is fed in via a source in the top tray and cleansed on its way to the bottom, where the filtered water is pumped back in to the tank.
