Airstone

Definition

An airstone is a piece of porous stone that is connected to an air supply tube. Once the stream of oxygen hits the inside of the stone it is diffused and released on the outside of the airstone as a stream of individual bubbles. They are used for aeriating the tank and providing surface agitation.
